Have pics of the bike raised up using your stands? How long is the 2x4 you use at the front?
I don't have any pics and can't provide them anytime soon, but the setup really is shockingly simple. The length of the board at the front will depend on your bike. Once it's up on the eyehook board, you just measure the distance between the ground and that part of the frame, then cut a board a couple inches longer.
The key is using beefy eye hooks and strong tie downs on each side. I hook the tiedowns to the frame near the footpegs. It's very stable.
One possible difficulty is in getting the bike up on the centerstand with the added height of the board thickness. Mine is a 550 with a tall rear wheel, so I don't have much trouble. You might have to find a friend to help you haul back on the bike.
