Floppy clutch lever fix.
« on: May 30, 2010, 11:22:10 AM »
I am tired of the flopping lever on the CB 750. I have already shimmed it.
I think I have a cure, but it involves, drilling &  tapping the lever and adding a piece. It should tighten everything up and last twice as long.. May not want this on a  restored stocker, but would be great for everyday rider, or custom bike..

I will have to machine either a shouldered bolt, or spacer & screw kit..

will post more soon, if you got questions, ask..

I have shimmed them, sleeved them, seized them..& squeezed them..........

I am done with the stock crap..

I am working on a fork type pivot, that has near double the bearing area, but at least 3X harder to move up and down (ie, wear the sides out).. will pull in just fine.. In a perfect world, with a straight on pull, the stock design would hold up...
