Another 750 rearset question.
« on: May 30, 2010, 04:49:49 AM »
I've done a search, but did not see answers to my particular question.

Can anyone recommend rearsets for the '78 K that are strong enough for a 275 pound rider AND allow the use of the kickstarter?

Thanks!

Hi Gonzo,

I am working on a 78K Cafe now. The rearsets are next. I never did find any after market ones (mounting plates) available.

I have a rough set of cardboard patterns made up, and will use .25" aluminum plate to mount the rearsets to. I think that if you use folding foot pegs, the kick starter will most likely work. I have an old set of rearsets off a Yamaha, but I may use the type 13 or 19 Tarozzi rearsets.

I'll post some pictures as I work on them.
