four into one intake

 Hey y'all! I had this idea that will be total blasphemy to most of the sohc members, but I think would work great. Has anyone ever heard of anyone selling or currently making 4 into one intake manifolds for sohc fours? I have seen a couple in The Horse chopper magazine, but I believe they were totally homemade. The only reason I thought of it was it would take a lot of the work out of adjusting the carbs and such. Just easier maintainenance, and simplicity overall. I know where I can score a Mikuni HS 42 real cheap, and figured why not a four into one intake with this sucker on it? Hell, I don't know, the Mikuni might be too small, but I just wnated to kn ow if anyone here has either done a four into one, or knows where I can get one. Thanks

Good reason not to do it is it runs rich on middle cylinders and lean on outer ones, plus you lose a bunch of performance.
 If you want a low HP single carb bike, get a CB125

I have seen it. No, there is no place to buy one.  They do run lean on the outside cylinders.  If anything, you should think about twin carbs instead of 1>4.  Your rings will thank you.

I'd like to see any fuel injetion/ megasquirt conversions, if any were around. Even better than a carb.

I've read about the newer mikuni ibeat FI and the system doesn't require high pressure fuel pumps and lines. It's common on indonisian honda scooters; virtually non-existent  elsewhere and unobtanium as an after-market tinkerer's jewel. I think this stuff could have wonderful application on the SOHC-4  if you could get it, and it could be 1 n2 4, 2  into 4, or 4 n2 4.

Do a search , there's a couple of guys on here running microsquirt systems...

Not really meaning to threadjack this , but if doing something different thanstock maybe FI is the way to go.

Here's what I'd like to do for a conversion. One on each cylider, self contained with it's own fuel pressure.

thanks for all the input guys it has been very helpful. A fuel injection system would really kick ass! I agree there. I'm gong to check out cycle x I think. Again thanks all!
