Wow, so many good beers out there to choose from, but if I am going to drink a few on a nice evening after a ride, I'll choose Fat Tire Amber Ale, from New Belgium Brewing.

Never had Pilsner Urquell but the game is fun. check it out.
http://www.funhills.com/g/g/id_277/

You should try it sometime.  After all, Urquell means "original".  Every other Pilsner style beer throughout history has been trying to copy it, and very few have come close.  Staropramen and Spaten Premium are a couple of exceptions.

I don't know what you folk's might think but some of my friends think I'm somewhat of a beer snob, I won't go out and buy the cheapest beer available like they do just too get on a good drunk.
I have different beers for different occasions

1) Innis & Gunn  oak aged beer , great tasting beer from Scotland

2) Fort Garry Dark Ale,  Fantastic Dark beer and I'm not just saying that cause it's brewed in town here at a small local brewery It's a damn fine beer

3) Moosehead  (my working in the garage, camping, fishing and sitting at the lake beer)

4) Leinenkugel's Honey Weiss  Chippawa Falls Wis. didn't think I ever find an American beer I would like (note too self: avoid big mega brewery beers), was down in Minneapolis Mn. and was sampling the local beers, tipped back quite a few of the Leinie's by the end of the night.

All right, I read as much as I could and I don't think anyone mentioned mine.  I just got back from vacation up north and was first introduced to the whole "micro-brewery" thing.  Had a lot of great beers in Vermont, some in Canada (Labat Blue.... I know it's like saying Bud Light in America) but my favorite is almost anything from Vermont's own: Magic Hat brewery, specifically #9.  Has anyone out there had this?

I was lost down here in the south, now I know real beer from the north.

Yuenglingc Lager, one of a few reasons I moved back to PA.  But I am cheap and that 30 can case of Coors Gold lures me at times.  I do not like Bud but that Bud Select is ok, they must have changed the oak boards the horses piss on before it runs into the Select bottles.  I like most Lagers but that black crap is crap.  I call it Bog beer.
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

I have to update my post, the best beer is the one you take out of your fridge and hand to me, My second is when you say want another?  The wosrt beer is the offered to do work for someone you don't like.  Example: Hey i'll buy you a case of beer if you wil rebuild my Carbs and sync them up for me.  Oh yes I want to jump right on that, who wouldn't?  I mean your offering me 16-18 dollars for a good afternoons work and about 20.00 of my carb dip and cleaner.  What a deal.

Does any one know about Belgian Beer?  I'm taking a trip to Brussels soon and will be stopping in Amsterdam and Paris.  I hear theres a #$%*load of different varieties.  I don't want to look like a chump when I get to a pub and don't know what to order.  Any suggestions?

ok, so i read the whole damn thread to catch up....and make sure i hadn't already posted on it.

jonsey, that philosopher song is great.
whoever mentioned boulevard, thanks for the memories and you should stay away from ANYTHING with fruit...beer is meant to have 4 ingredients.  no more.  no less.

yes, count me as brewer number 4.

as to favorite, there's a bunch, but mainly one style.
IPA is what beer is meant to taste like, hoppy, plenty of punch, and a bit heavy on the tongue.  ideally served at cellar temps from a hand pumped cask.  low carb(onation), high flavor.

as to brands
  arcadia
  avery
  brooklyn
  stoudts
  sierra nevada's pretty good
  dogfish head 120 minute.....$8/bottle, but it'll #$%* you up.

there's a bunch of brit brewers who get it right too, but living in america i've gotten tired of the "trans-atlantic funk" that goes along with them.  once you start brewing freshness takes on a whole new importance.
i love babies...
with a nice chianti sauce and a side of fava beans

I just finished a case of Magic Hat Sampler over the weekend.  It includes four of their most popular beers.  Magic Hat makes good beer, but there are other micro-brewers out there that make No. 9 taste like piss.  Here is a list:

Brewery Ommegang
Rogue Ales
Victory Brewing
Baltimore Brewing
Anchor Brewing
Old Dominion
New Belgium
