I have an electrical/battery oddity

So, I have two CB750 K1's that I keep the batteries fully charged. The batteries came with the bikes so I don't know the ages. Anyway they both measure 12.9 on the meter after charging and they both stay charged - no leaks. Here's the oddity. When I turn on the ignition on one, the gauge idiot lights are really bright. The other ones lights are dim. They both crank the same it seems. Is this time for a new battery issue? I rebuilt he gauge internals on both so they are the same. Is there a problem here I should address?

Check all ground connections. Sounds like weak ground(s).

Have you changed the bulbs?
They may be incorrect wattage.(?)

I'd pull the idiot light bulbs out and check their earthing, as the other guys said, grounding is the secret and we get a build up of crud between the base of the bulb and the sides of the tubes they get their earth from.

Swap the batteries see if the problem changes. It may be just a battery problem. Also look at the terminal. Give the weaker battery a terminal cleaning.
