Topic: 500 to 555cc queries

Greetings,

I'm new on here and know quite a bit less about bikes than most of you, I'm sure.

I have a 73 cb500 four

I recently installed a NOS 3mm (555cc?) overbore kit off ebay.

First off, has anyone used one of these kits? I'm curious as to how well they hold up?

Secondly, it necessary to change cams or can I use the stock 500 cam? I'm not planning on racing, just wanted a mild performance boost.

If a cam swap is absolutely necessary, what's a good (and affordable) option?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
