My dad drives an old '82 Mercury Cougar wagon, it has a 200ci straight six motor.
He had a sporadic miss and I told him "some Lucas fuel system treatment might clear it up."
So he poured a bottle into about a 1/4 tank 'o' gas, drove it a few miles to the gas station, and filled the tank up.
The next day, he drove up to my house (100+ miles) and said there was a little puff of smoke when he started off from traffic lights.
He got here fine and we hung out, changed the oil, fixed a bad leak on the speedometer cable, added some fluid to the transmission, and did basic tune-up things to the vehicle.

THE NEXT DAY
Started the car and backed out of the driveway, put it in drive, hit the gas, and WOOOOOSH! oil blowing out the exhaust like crazy!
...Pulled it back in and pondered for a while why adding a fuel system treatment to an engine would do such a thing to a car....
I pulled the plugs and the back 4 plugs looked beautiful, but the front two were just dripping with oil.
There was also fresh unburned oil dripping out the tail pipe.
needless to say
This had us stumped until my dad called his brother who informed him of an old ford 300 six he had that did that same thing.
He said he did an engine flush and it quit blowing oil.
we thought it was worth a try.
video to come shortly.
