Yeah, Seattle had opportunities for sure, but blew it. Wonder how the Lions feel hosting the game.. with a record like theirs?  ::)
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Ayah, seeing as how the Patriots have already started play'in golf I was rooting for the Seahawks. But it is good to see that Bill has finally gotten himself the big one.

Yeah Sam,it wasn't much of a game to watch but glad Pittsburgh won (for Bill Cowher and Jerome"THE BUS" Bettis).Did enjoy the Stones at halftime and the Fed Ex commercial with the cavemen.

I couldn't agree more. The first half sucked and the officiating was very, very bad- it cost Seattle 1 touchdown on a phantom push off. The officiating throughout the playoffs was bad.

A yawn fest, and up here in Canada we don't even get the commercials! I thought Seattle had the better of the play and probably should have won but they just broke down too often at key times of the game, i.e. that trick play to Ward. Everyone in the stadium could see that one coming I don't know how Seattle's defence missed it. Hohum. I thought the playoffs in general were a bit of a dissapointment this year, nothing like the previous year.

That was the best Superbowl in 25 years!   ;D  Hehe, we finally got the one for the thumb.  After some of the high scoring games of the last 15 years or so I think the disappointment many feel was due to two good defenses.  Pittsburgh never got into a rhythm, and Seattle had problems closing out drives with points.  Pittsburgh did not win pretty, but winning like that is consistent with how they’ve played over the last 2 seasons.

The worst performance by a Seahawk had to be the punter.  What they hell was he doing punting into the end zone every time? Why didn’t he try to angle the punts out of bounds behind the 20?  It just seemed like there were some missed opportunities to pin Pittsburgh back, especially given their offensive inconsistency.

Watching the Steelers win brought me back to when I was a big fan of the Steelers in the 70's.  It could have been a better game, but there wouldn't have been a better outcome.  In the end, the team that screws up the least deserves to end up the winner - especially in the Super Bowl where it seems that teams rarely play as solid as they do in the regular season.  I find the game to be pretty boring most years - especially when I have no team to root for.

As a Steelers fan, it was great to see them win it.  Especially in person.  We managed to get tickets, and it was a thrill to see them win & to have the Bus retire a champion.  Detroit did a great job at playing host.  It was a great experience.

That's great!  I was happy to catch them live twice (@ Minn. and @ Green Bay) in the year they won it all.

I just talked to my brother.  He shot up from DC to Pgh for the victory parade yesterday.  250,000 turned out.  It must have been a site to see.
