New owner of a FREE '71 CB500-4 K0. It's not a total POS now(my dad's a mechanic), but it had a few issues we've worked out, and an idle problem we're still working on.
So far we've fixed, or replaced:
Top triple tree
Battery
Tires front and back
Carb tuning
Clutch cable
Side covers
Bearings replaced
The bike sometimes idles around 3K, that is until the clutch reaches the friction point, then it calms down. The bike sat outside for some time apparently, so I've ordered a new throttle cable(I could just try lubing the old cable, but it is 40 years old, and the bike was free).
But, for now I'm enjoying the other bikes on the "fourum", with ideas dancing through my head, and I look forward to some great discussions in the future!
