New Wiring Harness, different colors!

I bought a new wiring harness for my 75 550f, but when I tried to hook it up, the wires don't match up. The old harness seems to have green/red wires where the new has black. Also, some of the ends don't snap together, ie - some places where a connection should be made are now both male ends. Should I splice those babies together?  ;D

It might be a 76f, but it seems like they should be very similar.  ???
