Now this looks promising, a bit tatty when up close and the pod filters look like they came out of the Ark but I like the lines of the bike.

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

On one of the vintage bike days at Summit Point, there was a teal green 1200 Goldwing with a flat sidecar like that. The passenger was a teal green CB400 Racebike.



This pic has been quoted several times,  but no mention of the real cool carbon framed bike in the upper left??? Looks like an Aegis frame--hand crafted here in Maine,  maybe not for much longer though :(...

Ha ha, thanks mate, but I've got plenty of CB750's here, so I might make my own? He (the seller) said it's a little "underpowered" with the stock 750A engine, so maybe my 1060cc "Cobra" engine might liven it up somewhat? ;D

My buddy built a 3 wheeler like that, years ago, using a Honda liquid-cooled V-4, that he bought cheap with a wrecked front end. I don't remember the model, but it was 1000cc or more. He grafted the front end of a dune-buggy frame to the Honda. It was pretty quick, in fact, he had a severe traction problem with the motorcycle tire. He machined the spokes of the mag wheel, and modified a VW rim to fit, so he could run a flatter, wider tire. Sorry, no pics. I'll ask him if he has any that I can scan.

The 3 wheeler he built after that one was a 350 Chevy "sidewinder", one speed, chain drive affair, with a REALLY FAT rear tire. It hasn't been on the road in awhile, but he still has it. I can probably get pics, if anyone is interested.

He had an impromptu "race" with a Boss Hog, and was disappointed that it pulled slightly ahead of him. A week or two later, I met the guy with the Boss, and it turned out he had a 502/502 crate motor. Henry felt MUCH better when I told him... :D

He put it on two wheels, once. The Honda version would slide the rear tire first, but this one with the honking meat on the back, and 500 pounds of Chevy pushing it down on the pavement, didn't slide at all. When he really pushed hard in a cornering test, it popped up on two wheels, and ground a flat spot into the lower frame tube on the left side. He did make the turn, but it got his adrenaline pumping! :o

A mate of mine, Steve Clancy, just paid 42 thousand bucks for an ex-works Yoshimura Suzuki GS1000SR to add to his collection of old race bikes, and I've no doubt he'll be riding the wheels off it! ;D
