That is beautiful Ernie, I "inherited" an R69S in 1977 with a chrome plated frame from my brother when something in the gearbox locked up, but I joined the army shortly afterwards and didn't have the time to fix it, so I gave it back to my brother and he sold it for 300 bucks. Was a great bike though, I only wish it had a bigger engine. Cheers, Terry.
Well, that bike would do 75mph lierally all day. It feels slow intitially because they need to get a huge flywheel turning. OTOH, they're like riding a cloud. Not for everyone, I admit.
Now here's a custom with 1000cc engine, if that makes you any happier. It doesn't even notice the sidecar I pull with it.
I have to admit, freeway roll-ons were kind of fun, but that frame really doesn't handle warp speed too well...
