for those that have followed my fork seal thread, thanks.  I got one fork seal out but I can't really tell which way the new ones go in.  There are letters and numbers on one side.  I ask because the inside of the seal is shaped differently from top to bottom, clearly there is a correct and incorrect way...  I'll try to get a picture...

Well, no camera but I went with letters up.  I noticed the originals were that way (after I cleaned off 40 years of crud).  I got one seal done and could not get the other tube apart so I installed a spare fork I had and will take the other tube somewhere to see if someone can get the stripped bolt out for me.  That seal seemed kind of easy to get on.  We'll see what happens...
