New member from Phoenix, AZ
« on: June 20, 2010, 08:32:18 AM »
Hello all.  Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

New member in Phoenix, AZ.  I just purchased my FIRST bike, a 1978 CB 750.

I am having a blast riding it, but would like to cleanup some of the cosmetic issues (not many) so I came here for some guidance and support.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I love the color of your bike, very different!

Thanks!

I just bought it.

I have matching right side cover, but left side is broken...

The tank needs a repaint, so I am not sure if the color will stay or not, once I get a replacement right side cover and decide to paint everything...

Thanks Shenanigans!

Any good AZ vintage bike get togethers or clubs?

I know it's getting awfully hot out to ride, but if you guys ever meet up on the weekend, let me know.  I would love to stop by and say hi.

I am NE (FLW and 101).

I have been trying to get a ride going on here for a while, I know there are about 7 members that have said they would be down for a ride. Maybe I will bump up that old thread. Right after I get my bad coil replaced...

I'm in Tempe and would like to meet up with you guys sometime.  My CB isn't ready for the road quite yet, but I'm always up for a ride on my ZRX.

Anyone have a favorite place to have work done on their CBs in town?

I am looking for a good shop as I am new to all this (it's my first bike) and don't have much wrench time or experience.

My favorite place is my own! Not in "town"; up north of you, near Prescott, and bikes are my hobby, not my job. You will find tons and tons of info here, as well as all kinds of help and advice. Don't be afraid to ask questions; we were all newbies once! :)

Agreed!  I like working on my own bikes almost as much as riding them.
