I agree with him.

If you don't want people to know something, don't put it on the internet!

No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

+1

I think this is one area where people who grew up before the internet have an advantage over those who did.  We have a healthy amount of paranoia about sharing personal information and a lack of desire to post every single thought or thing we do for the whole world to see.

Might have to define 'before the internet' though. Im 25 and the interwebs was just coming to when I was in grade school. I still remember the annoying AOL log in dial up noises. And the highspeed 56k :) Some people just put image or social acceptance above common sense. Or maybe their parents didnt tell them to think twice often enough.

"Before the internet", meaning before it became ubiquitous in our culture.

yer still just a kid.  ;D

hard to believe but there was a time when one wasn't chained down by a black berry or iphone, defined by what model ipod or bluetooth (whatever that is) one has, and when tv's, radios, refrigerators, etc... were cheaper to fix than to replace.

i have friends in their late 20's who don't give the intrusion of technology a second thought. nor the pervasive and incessant marketing in their lives.

I went kayaking the other day and managed to keep my phone in my pocket with out myself knowing and needless to say, I tipped over, twice. So I was without a phone for a week, and I dont remember how we got along without cell phones myself. I managed to keep in touch thanks to facebook  ::) but one day all the technology will probably bite us in the ass. Too reliant on these things. Kids now (younger kids than I) dont know how to hunt or fish, or build a damn campfire without googling it first. Or having a fish finder, etc.
