Is this a "sandcast" centre stand?
« on: June 12, 2010, 07:41:47 AM »
I had a friend drop off 2 centre stands for a 750 for me and one is quite different than the usual ones I've seen. There's no bar across the lower part and it looks really primitive. Any experts out there?
Cliff.

That looks like virtually every CB center stand I have seen for the bikes I have worked on (CB350F, CB350, CL350, CB400F, CB450, CB500F, CB550F).  My Dream 305 has a very similar center stand too.

Yes the early ones have no brace..
Check basic measurements, may be off smaller bike..

check the welds.. I know the footpeg mount welds on the 69 I had looked noticeably different than later parts..
