Bacon Explosion!!!
« on: June 10, 2010, 12:11:19 PM »
I'm doing 2 of these this weekend, and have scheduled my angioplasty for monday  :P

http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/

one sweet with hickory bacon and brown sugar based rub, and a honey/bbq sauce glaze.
the other with spicy italian sausage, hot rub, peppered bacon and a secret layer of jalapenos and pepperjack cheese.
probably 2-3 hrs in a cloud of hickory smoke, and finish in the oven (if needed)

has anyone here tried these before?
results?
tips?

Has anyone been to Arthur Bryans BBQ in KC? It has a historic past and some awesome food.
