I took the survey twice since it kept showing up.  I mentioned that the Bonneville is a lot cheaper than what they were offering.  Also mentioned that I thought the CB1100R prototype was sex on wheels.

Candy Glory Red it's called.

Mick - as I mentioned before, the red is really nice and you won't be disappointed when you see it in the flesh. (I reckon it's very similar, if not the same, as the new VFR1200 too). Heaps better than the white (saw that in Melb), IMO, and makes the bike more of a "wow" factor.
I keep looking at it and wondering what they would look like with the sidecovers done in red too. Mentioned that to the salesman at HW and he thought it was probably a cost cutting exercise not to paint them, but I don't agree (there's not enough of it to be expensive, and they had to paint them in grey anyway :-\).

And I reckon it looks more "blingy" in the flesh too. Pics don't do it justice.

The sun came up this morning, a new day dawns, I've still got a pulse, things to do, K2 to ride -

You'll just have to jump onto that great looking K2 of yours and come for a blast up through the centre of Oz to Darwin.  ;)
It's only 3000 K's.  ;D
The sun is shining and there's not a cloud in the sky.
Just waiting for the V8 Super Cars to break the silence of the morning.
It's all go at Hidden Valley Raceway this weekend.
Those sidecovers caught my eye too and I was thinking why they weren't the same as the tank but it's grown on me now.

I took the survey too and told them to add a 550 or 650 size as well. Women and most men would flock to something that size for smaller, more agile, lighter, hug a corner kinda riding.

Great idea!  I didn't think of mentioning that.

Yes mate
It's here and I must apologise for not posting any pics yet.
Been burning the midnight oil at work and had visiting relatives up from down south.
It's been pretty chaotic all at the wrong time.
I'll take some this weekend and get them up on here.
Here is the only one I have with my nephew waiting on it.
It still has to be inspected and registered although I've taken it for a few after dark rides already and it's a beauty.

Here are some more photos of the CB1100.
It's as smooth as a babies bum and has got quite a bit of sting in it's tail.
The fuel injection is a big plus.
There's an ABS sensor on the back wheel and runs sintered metal/ceramic brake pads front and rear and the brakes are dynamite.
Laying it into tight corners feels good and it pulls out nice and straight.
While it isn't going to mix it up with some of the other bikes, it is a quality machine and I really think that Honda deserves a big tick for this one.
The cost was 15 Grand AUD.
It looks like a motorbike should, and is great to ride.
The model is a CB1100A.

I really think I would buy one. Id have to get a loan on it though.Looks good. I do wish it had red sidecovers.  Id buy a spare set now if possible and paint em red.

Mate, it did sort of hit me in the eye with those side covers at first too and I was thinking much the same,
but it does grow on you and blends in with the rest of the bikes character in it's own way.
I think that I had (and still have) the CB750 idea/look in my head which was giving me ideas about a colour change.
It's a unique bike like no other.

one thing, move those horns!  looks like an old v45 with those, and that's not a good thing!  but other than that, the bike looks AWESOME!!  can't wait to see some videos of you tearing it up, hopefully you can do that soon!!  hows it sound?  looks like the silencer could be a bit smaller and open up the sweet music of the engine!

you gunna throw pods on it???   :D :D :D

Mate, I gotta admit that one of the first things I thought about was that baffle.
The bike's as quiet as a mouse and I do like a bit of thunder from the exhaust!!
Just gotta get this Honda 4 out of the system and take it as it is!!
It is too nice to to be messing with it and I'll see if I can get some You Tube up soon.

That thing is beautiful and I would SO ride it.

Having said that: the dual cam puts me off, and so does the oil cooler. I get it, it's 2010, but if you're going retro - GO RETRO!

Someone tell me that they wouldn't sell a new/old 750 as quick as they could make it.

Ride safe, and have fun!

Mate, the only diff between when I saw this one still in its crate and now - is it's in YOUR SHED, you lucky b*stard. ;D
I'm sure you can get an aftermarket slipon muffler for it to give it a note, although I do like the shape of the original one.
Have fun.

its grouse!being modern with abs and fuel injection its good they didnt go shaft drive,a 750 would be good an 1100 is too much for little ole me.,yeah i think matching side covers would be better, probably keeps costs down doing one colour covers?

Hi

I'm living in France and i am very interested by this motorbike which will be sold in France in 2013.

After 2 years, do you have some pratical informations about this cb (failure / rust on elements) ?

Thanks
