I cleaned carbs again yesterday, set float levels, bench sync and replaced float valve set on #3 since float needle seemed worn.
Note the different diameter and how old needle is blunt and new needle is sharp.  I used replacement set part# 16011-375-004 for my K5 but you can see the differences so wondering if this matters given that all it does is regulate gas refilling float bowls? - so long as  it regulates float level effectively,which it seems to be doing.
Still not running great.  Nothing has changed.   
2.  unrelated - Is it possible for mechanical advance to be sticking?  Is that common?

Checked a few posts and not exactly clear - could you expand as to what sort of symptoms the different diameter float needle holder might cause?
