Yes, of course.
I use an old worn 1/8" tip flat blade screwdriver with a long shaft.
Use it like a chisel with the flat facing the shaft about 1/3 the distance from the outer edge to pierce the seals metal ring embedded in the rubber. Once pierced, pry the seal out without nicking either the case OR the shaft.
Put thin tape on the shaft splines so they don't nick the new seal during install.
Press or tap the new one on with plastic pipe or other tubing with an O.D. just a bit smaller than the new seal.
