Master and Caliper rebuild kits
« on: June 13, 2010, 04:07:09 PM »
Hello everyone,

I am helping a friend of mine get his 1978 CB750K back on the road after sitting for about 8-10 years. The bike has about 21,000 miles on it and needs some minor TLC to get back on the road. The front brake was locked up before he moved so he pulled the caliper to free up the wheel to roll. The front caliper is going to need a rebuild. Also the master cyl cap is lock on and it has white crusty oxidation all around the master so I think it would be best to replace/rebuild that too. Safety first.

Where is the best place to find a rebuild kit or rebuilt brake parts? I found a place called Old Bike Barn. I haven't done any business with them in the past and I would like to use someone who comes highly recommended by people in the know.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have not had any experience with Old Bike Barn.  A lot of folks have had good luck with Z1Enterprises.  Here's a list that contains the MC rebuild kit:

K7
Suzuki GN400 - Ignition fixed!
03 KLR650 - Doesn't do anything very well but.. well.. does everything.
