I've seen 'PD'  carbs talked about here and on e-bay. I think they came on later models. You might put  'PD'  carbs  into search to see what applications. Not on 350's or 400's.

For as far as i know only two types of carbs have a spring wound around the trottle axis.
Those are; K7 en F2. In my humle opinion it's a F2 carb.
I've got a K7 carb lying around somewhere, ill see if i can locate it and confirm the above.

The photo shows a K7 carb.

 They look a lot like 77/78  750 F or K carbs..
But.. no brace on upper rear.. and in that first pic it appears to have a fitting coming off the carb top.. WTF is that?

I think that is just the breather hose from the carbs that has fallen to the side.  They definitely look like my 78 750k carbs, which have 2 hoses connected, the fuel line in then a smaller breather one behind it that runs up over the air box and down.  I think it also has a little plastic connector that splits it in the middle to aid in removal.

+1 on the missing brace

The look like the carbs I rebuilt on my K7 a while back. According to the below chart PD42B are from a 78 CB750K.
