difference in header temperature
« on: June 15, 2010, 06:16:52 AM »
i recently bought a cb400f with 3200 miles that sat for quite a while. i cleaned the carbs and got her running. she seems to run pretty good but i noticed one of the headers was a little more blue than the others. i measured the temp of each header and found that cylinders 3 & 4 were more than twice as hot as 1 & 2(around 500 degrees vs. around 200) i thought 200 was rather low. i used a thermocouple style gauge and measured the same spot for each header. i figured i'm running too lean or too rich in two cylinders. any thoughts?     thanks.
