kinda like the kennedy/nixon debate bringing on the era of televised politics. or... mtv airing music video.

btw: did you know it was calvin coolidge who actually was the first president to appear on sound film?

you're welcome.  ;D

I voted Simpson. Anyone who can make a bagger sound like that and look that sexy, deserves my vote.  ;D

2006 HD 883 Sportster, stock. No use changing it, it's still gonna be a Harley.

Well no video from me, I'll probably lose because of that....  ::)

Heres the continuation of the story!

Modifications began with the addition of rear sets, pieced together from components off various bikes, (gsxr 1300, cbr900rr, BMX bicycle pegs, 80 something Shadow) Here's a shot of those finally installed, more through explanations and detailed photos in my build thread.

With the rearsets installed and good to go I turned my attention to the seat and tail. The tail is simply the stock F tail, modified to accept a homemade seat pan, covered with exercise mat material and marine vinyl.

A couple mockup/progress photos

With the seat and tail out of the way, some fresh paint was next on the list.  Hit it up with some semigloss spray paint and some vinyl decals.

And a couple photos of Vol. 1

Man and Machine.

Then disaster struck... (via the hands of some unknown, undiscovered vandals. Full story here.... http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=58591.msg634809#msg634809)

The recovery began...

Starting out with some freshened up gauge faces, and LED warning lights. (more info on this can be found in this thread http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=60571.0 )

Then something a little more drastic.  A full teardown, clean, reassemble.

and after reassembly we end up with what you see now, the "completion" of Vol. 2

Yeah I was less than pleased when it happened.... But It turned out to be a good thing, gave me some motivation for some additional mods/improvements!

The video comment was sarcasm. :)

Hail the Camaro, lol.  My Bro has one with a V6, 300 ponies and 29 mpg hiway, that is crazy kewl.  I miss my '98 Z28 but when the third kid came, the Camaro had to go.

The nickel got me.  Back in the 70's at our local Honda shop, that was the sales trick.  Nice work Simpson.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Just thought i'd drop in here and add a few photos from my ride today, eventhough they are already posted in the sohc bike on the road thread....

Got home from work and it was gorgeous out so I got the bike out and went for a short ride.  Took a ride across the border into minnesota.  Rode near Conger, Mansfeild and Emmons.  Conger and Mansfeild were recently hit by tornados.  Ended up finding a little bit of storm damage along the way, but not too many photos of that.

The one photo of storm damage that i'm uploading.  That car and tangled mess once belonged at an acreage roughly 3/4-1 mile away...

I am still stuck.  I can't make a choice.  Maybe I should go ask CCOErika what she thinks.
