Wiseco 836cc kit: Barrel gasket question.
« on: August 11, 2010, 01:43:11 PM »
I am installing a Wiseco 836cc kit, and it came with a copper and a cardboard gasket. So.. first question, the copper is the barrel to the crankcase, right?

That being correct, I am wondering if I should use any form of gasket sealer, or if the copper gasket is sufficient? I checked the surface with a straightedge, and it really looks pretty flat... ???

Thanks for the help!

I'd guess the copper gasket would be head to cyl & the fiber one would be the cyl to case

Ok, that makes sense. Would you put any gasket sealer on the head gasket? Or should the copper be good enough?
