two questions

will carbs from a 78 fit a 75 model?? Anyone know a source for the rubber connections from the air box to the carbs??
If it is to be it is up to me.

Which bike?  I've fitted 75 carbs to a 78 CB550 and I can't see any reason the carbs wouldn't fit the other direction.  I imagine the same is true for the 750.

Yes.  But, you need the 78 manifolds to go with them.  The carbs have different spacing.
Harder to get parts for 78 carbs, I think.
