Topic: 550-650 front end interchangeability

I have a seized 550 without a front end leaning up beside my son's garage.  Today I ran into a guy who has a complete 650 front end.  Is it interchangeable as a unit or what parts are interchangeable?  I need to make a decision in the next couple of days whether to take it or not so anything you can tell me would be a big help.
