Greetings From The Great Lake State
« on: June 19, 2010, 06:01:25 AM »
New member, old rider here.........from Michigan.  I've been riding since 1970 and have been retired since 1999.

I just recently bought a 1975 CB 550K1 that needs a lot of TLC and I've already picked up a lot of info from this website and am quite impressed with what I've seen here.

At this point I'm not sure whether to keep this bike original or go with a mild Cafe style......time and input from you folks will help me to determine that.

I am also a member of Stromtroopers.com and my main bike is a 2008 Suzuki DL-650 V-Strom.

I'll be asking a lot of questions regarding restoration but I'll try to utiliize the search function so as not to become too big of a nuisance.
The search function on the Stromtroopers site leaves a lot to be desired and I'm hoping that it's better here.

Again I think that this is a great site and am looking forward to being a member.    ;D

Ray
