Topic: Master cylinder question

How do tell the difference between a master cylinder for a K (single disc) and an F dual disc)? I am assuming the piston is larger for the F due to 2 brake calipers instead of one on the K bike. I'm looking for a period correct master cylinder for my 77 that is getting dual brakes up front.

the fluid reservoir  is much larger on the dual disc master [ f2 master ] . i improved my dual disc set up no end by fitting the early single disc master , there is a bit more lever travel but alot more brake

I keep getting different answers when researching the topic. If the stock master will work with more lever travel I think I'll try it first (I've got large hands anyway)

It will work, but do you really want to get the lever against the bar in a panic stop?

That's what I mean. Different answers. I got a master coming from a 78 F model that I will try first seeing as it had dual caliper front brakes.
