Center stand pin won't budge
« on: June 21, 2010, 05:46:35 AM »
I removed the 2 bolts that clamp the pivot pin in place for the center stand on my 750 K4 . Hammering won't budge it . I think the end is too mushroomed now to go through the stand's hole . Time for the sawsall ?
P.S. cotter pin is out .

usually prying the clamping part open helps.

Take a bastard to it

Bastard file that is.  ;)  If it spins/turns in the clamps, you should be able to file the mushroom off.

Oh yuk,  this may be a job for a bf hammer and a hot wrench (torch) then.  At least the pin is only $14.
