I dont want to sell it, because I have 2 sets of KO carbs(one is a buddies.
I figure if we are using them and the rubbers are a bit hard they could break, on install. We should post up the measurements or get some CNCed. with My manual mill, way too much work to make a finished piece.

Thanks for the quick response 754.

I guess i will just try to get some 6061 plate and do it on my drill press.
At least ALL of the holes are in line across the plate.

Where are you located?  I have two motorcycle boneyards near me.  If y need me to I can go buy one for you and mail it to you.  Once you get it you can send me a check for it.  Let me know it that helps you out.

Also if there are major differences in this part for year to year let me know is I can find the right one.

Hey Magilla,

Fellow MA guy here.  Could you pm me these magical boneyard locations?  I have been looking and haven't been able to find sheit around me.

With no bellcrank and throttle shaft, you oughta be able to just run 'em as is.
There is still the choke linkage.

If you don't have access to a TIG, just use a couple of pieces of aluminum strap and drill/pop rivet them over the break. Not pretty, but functional. Cheers, Terry. ;D

What about the fuel lines between 1 and 2 and 3 and 4?
You know those tubes with the O rings?

If anyone has one of these 1969 mount plates I could really use a tracing of it so that I could make my own.

Thanks.

I could maybe do all the drilling and boring and layout the outside lines for you guys if you want them semi-finished.... be cheaper.
If there is any interest speak up....754

I am interested but need to know how much money we are talking about.

I did not get the Lee Iococa retirement package.

I would be willing to do some of the work.

I might be able to help with this.  I'm a machinist by trade and I've got access to CNC mills.  It's an easy piece to make.  If someone can post approximate dimensions so I can gauge material cost, I'd be happy to give a price estimate.  Someone would need to provide either exact measurements or send me a broken sample that I can measure.

Finish would be machined surfaces and sanded/scotchbrited stock surfaces.  Anodizing is an option too I suppose but it would add to the cost.

Cheers,

Willy-

I have my broken piece at home, you can have it. I think its better to copy original than depend on third party mesuring skills :)

PM me your address and I will mail it tomorrow.

I have an intact one to work off of, What I proposed was doing a short run with holes all in, with some finishing on the outside edges. I am not sure its worth setting up a CNC to do 4 or 6 pieces. anyway I am offering to do them .

No worries here, I'm not trying to horn in on your action.  I just offered 'cause you sounded reluctant to go through the trouble.  I don't even have a 750 so I'm not really invested either way.

Well we're waiting for 754 to weigh in.  If he wants to make 'em he's welcome to it.  If he doesn't then I'm happy to do it.

Though just so there are no surprises, I won't be able to get to them until the end of the month in case that influences things

Yeah, that's the thing with CNC; set-up/programming time. With these parts, the break-even point would probably be around 5 pieces.
So once again, how many people want one?

I was thinking they would be 30-40 and need some finishing, if I can sell at least 4...... If there more demand we should look at maybe CNC.. but lets see who really wants one.. Speak up if you do.

By need some finishing I mean sanding/blending the corners.. piece would come with thecarb anmd mount holes drilled bored, countersunk.

There is 2 v notches at the bottom, are those for the gas hoses ?

I think the round notches are for access to the fuel tees, to get the hose on and off. Mine turn up before the plate. I'm cash strapped at the moment but would be interested in one. Maybe not this month though. I'm putting the big bore kit on my 70.
