cb650 clutch, suggestions
« on: June 22, 2010, 07:50:04 PM »
Looking for suggestions on replacement clutch disc for a '82 cb650. Not looking for anything special, just something that works. The clutch in the bike now slips if I get on it. It's noisey too, when idling at a stop. The noise goes away when I pull in the clutch lever. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

I'd pull the clutch and measure the plates for wear.

I just replaced my clutch with some from bikebandit.   I only *just* got them on, so I havent tested them, but they seem to grab just fine.

Just check your manual for any special tools that might be needed, like on my '81 for the locknut/lockwasher...

I replaced the clutch on 2 of my 650's with the emgo disks and heavy duty springs.  Some clutch noise is normal.
