Just bought a '80 CB650 for $500. Bike started and ran great (or so I thought). Got it home and noticed I could only use 1/4 throttle and that it would only run about 60mph or so. Pulled the bowl off #1 carb and someone had somehow managed to put the floats in that carb in upside down, so the bike was only running on 3 cylinders. Fixed that and the bike ran a HELL of a lot better, but can still only use 1/4 throttle. Did some research online and found out that since my bike has 4 cone filters instead of the factory air box, I needed to adjust the needles. Did that and am now in the process of putting the carbs back together...but I'm stuck. Got everything the way it's supposed to be except a couple of springs/linkages on the choke. Am trying like crazy to find some clear pics online (in hind-sight, I should have taken a couple pics before I disassembled...lesson learned) so that I can make sure I get them all in the right place. If anyone knows or has any pics, it would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm anxious to see if this bike runs as well as I'm hoping she does. Plus my buddy has a '85 Honda Sabre 700....and I really need to be able to outrun him, haha! Maybe at least stay right with him... ;D
