how do i lock an avatar in?,i can make the actors or musicians one work but not my own picture?im using photo bucket

Did you copy the entire URL of the picture you have on Photobucket into the space provided? 

You could also upload a picture from your computer.  I don't remember if it will automatically shrink the image to fit or if you have to do that yourself, though.

yes retro thanks and mick7504 the file is too big,ill keep fiddling with it,im copy and pasting the entire url gordon,i can post pictures on here ok just this profile settings thing.ill try an image converter program i have,whats the smallest type?like tiff or giff,not jpeg?

Sorry Dave, i didn't realise it was a size issue.  {that sounds suss  ;D
Ok mate, go into photobucket and click on the picture you are trying to resize, now you should be on a screen with just your picture  with the links to the left. Put your mouse on the picture and at the top of your picture there will be a pile of options at the top of the pic, just click on resize and pick what size you want to shrink the pic.....give that a go..

TADA!!got it,thanks retro,mick and gordon,in photobucket i selected resize "tiny"and it worked at 12.5kb,,,update just went to medium at 36.9kb
