cb750 coils
« on: June 24, 2010, 05:15:37 AM »
I have a 73 cb750 and I bought coils from partsnmore and they have a black/white wire and a blue wire.
My stock coils have a black/white and blue wire on the left and a black/white and yellow wire on the right.
Also the partsnmore coil will only mount on the right side if you turn it around backwards because it will hit the frame.
And the connectors on the partsnmore coils are male connectors and the stock coils have female connectors.
Just wondering if this is right and I just need to adapt them to fit or I have the wrong coils?

Thanks, Rob

Doesn't sound quite stock does it. I'm guessing they are generic coils with stock(ish?) stats. I've not used the coils from Part-n-More. I would imagine if you redid the connectors and then made sure one coil fired cylinders 1&4 and the other 2&3 you'd be fine.
