Joker Brake Strap
« on: October 19, 2011, 06:25:19 PM »
Hello...I would like to purchase the Joker Brake strap for my 1978 CB750K. I'd like to know if it would fit because the highest year on the webpage says 1976 CB750K. The frames look Identical to me. Can anyone tell me if it will? Thank you....db

Well, unfortunately it won’t fit your ‘78 750K due to the part number difference. Here's why:

The Joker website lists that brake strap as:

Honda part no: 43431-286-010

The part number cross reference shows that 43431-286-010 will only fit the following Honda models:

I will try to look today, check some parts.
The 77/78 arm I think is tubing with flattened ends.
Is the Joker a flat bar style or rod ends?

77/78 swingarm is longer, that might be an issue

76 and down K, the anchor bracket has a 5.5mm slot.. the arm is 14 1/4 inches between centers.
77/78 K the anchor bracket has a 5mm slot and the arm is 12 1/8 inches long between centers..
 this will be a problem...
