i just bought a 550f exhaust and it doesnt fit! i thought it would i guess i should have asked here first before i drove 2 hours there and 2 hrs back for it

i will trade for a set of 4-4's. dont care how they look as long as they work and dont have huge holes in them. i dont have anypics they are off a 75CB550f have some rust on the down pipes but no holes or anything. i really need exhaust for this bike! if anyone wants to trade let me know

ok i put the exhaust on the bike. it is hitting the rake pedal, well right underit and the pedal wont move, it also comes straight back and doesnt slant upwards like its supposed to i will post pics in a few

so you think if i can a 550f pedal it will work? i could probably get one of ebay or another 550k pedal and take it to work and take the torch to it and bend it to make it work or something

You will have to make several modifications. Brake pedal, Foot peg, Kick start lever, and frame features were different on the F model to accommodate that listed above and give clearance for the exhaust system.

ok so i also ordered a kickster for a 550F on ebay for 4bucks. looking at pictures ok the CB550f i see the frame differences such as the mount for the rear pegs and exhaust mount. i think i will just make a bracket for the muffler to go to the original mount. as for the rider pegs i think they will be fine i guess i will see after i get the kickstarter and brake pedal in.now with this system do i need to rejet the carb? i have 38 slowjet and 100 mains

after looking at the pipes for a while i think i can grind down the spot that is now touching the peg and if i have to i can weld another peice over the hole if i make one. the part where are 4 pipes join is where its to :-\uching the peg.what you guys think? i know someone out there has down ths before

if i had another set of pipes to put on this bike i would gladly sell the exhaust. but its all i got right now i dont want to get a ticket for the original exhaust that all the bottoms of the mufflers were rotted out. im waiting for the kickstarter and brake lever off a 550F to come in and i will see how it all works together. im also riding this thing around with the tag off my suzuki gs500F since i dont have the title yet. im going through the DMV's abandoned vehicle process. i got this bike from a friend in 10th grade(03) when he moved to texas. his father got it from a friend who moved from texas in 82 and let the bike go in 88 when he moved back to the philipines. so the title got lost somewhere in the cunfusion and dmv doesnt have any record of it anymore so only about 20 more days till i get this thing legally registered.

Brake pedal mount on the frame is also offset in concert with the brake pedal. You'll see when you get the new arm that the stops work work.

what stop wont work? are you talking about the bracket coming out the frame with a bolt that the top of the pedal is against when you arent on the pedal? will the brake pedal work though? i dont care if its perfect this bike is not that good of condition(mostly just surface rust everything work though) so i just want it to work so i can ride it

ok i just ordered one of those too for 6 bucks. gotta love ebay!!! i hope it all works out! i will probably have to put some washers between the redal and frame since this one is longer. thanks alot twotired for all your help! you alot alot of knowledge and give alot of good advice on these forums. i am positive everyone appreciates your insight

ok so i just got everything in. i thought i could use the original K peg but i cant. i ordered F pegs and was wondering if the only thing i need to put those on it drill a hole under the exle bolt? and does anyone know the thickness of the brake linkage, te part the pedal actualy goes on? i need to have a peice of tubing made 1-1/2 long and weld it in place but i dont know the thickness of the brake linkage rod thing(sorry i dont know what its called). im pretty sure someone has done this before or know what to do. any ideas or info would help alot! also does anyone know where to get a good cheap seat cover? thanks!
