Rim/Tire size options
« on: June 26, 2010, 07:16:12 PM »
Hey,

I need to rebuild my wheels on my cb550 (78) that I'm making into a bobber/hardtail/choper, I was thinking of using a 18"x1.85" rim in the front and a 17"x1.85" rim in the back... it now has 19 in front and 18 in back.

Would that be a good match? Should I just stick with 2x 18"? What do you guys have on yours? Have any photo's? What about tires?

They are a bit narrow, particularly rear).
I would fit at least WM 3 front (2.15)and WM4 rear (2.50, but, it wont be cheap)

Front shouldn't be too much of a problem but Buchanan's want about $200 for rim, another $100 for spokes
