I purchased a 78 cb750F SS tank from ebay that im going to be using for my 72 cb500F cafe project.
I have trimmed down the tank horns and rubber stops so that the new tank slides on perfectly.
the problem im running into is that it looks like the petcock will sit too low and interfere with the engine..
i was thinking of getting some offset rubber stops made to raise the tank a bit.. could that work?
any tips from anyone who has done this conversion or what i can or should do to rectify this problem would be great..
or pics of what you have done...
would love to make this tank work so i can move to the seat part of my project
