750 K8 head torque

Did a search with no hits, hope this isn't too redundant.

Clymer says "Torque down the head mounting nuts and bolts in the sequence shown in figure 42 to 13.7 -15.2 ft lb".

Won't this potentially strip the six 6 mm bolts?

The site shop manual pdf specifies the 8mm nuts at 14.5 to 18.1 but says nothin about the 6mm bolts. Generically, the highest grade 6mm torque spec is max 10 ft lb, but for sure this does not apply to aluminum threads.

The Honda manual for '78 750 K&F models states the following information:

Cylinder Head Nut (Q'ty 16)- Torque(ft lbs.)         14.5 - 18.1

They do not list the torque for the 6 bolts specifically but the general torque for the 6mm bolts is listed as:

6mm bolt,nut-  5.8 - 8.7 (ft lbs.)

6mm flange bolt,nut- 7.2 - 10.1 (ft lbs)

I haven't had a 6mm head bolt strip on me yet and I tend to be a bit heavy handed. The cam tower mounting bolts will pull out the threads if you so much as look at them wrong (my experience).
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

You have that right Sean. After a million heat cycles those threads are weak. Mine are all helicoiled for safe measure.
