 Look on the side of your carbs. You should see a small screw on each one (I'm sure someone here has a pic). Gently bottom them out, then back them out 1.5 turns for a good starting point.

 I guess it's safe to assume you haven't synched the carbs? How hard would it be for you  to take them off so you can at least bench synch them?

 You may need full choke at first, then less as the engine warms up.

Great, I should probably get some air filters and a muffler on before going on. Also, it now starts right up, but doesn't fire on pipes 1 and 3. Plug wires are not switched. Any ideas, or should I get the air filters and muffler on first?

Yeah, I wouldnt run it with no head pipes, you will cause uneccessary abuse to your engine...Get an exhaust on there and try firing her up again before adjusting anything else.
