My recently rebuilt 1977 cb750 f2? f3?
« on: June 30, 2010, 04:19:31 pm »
About two months ago I learned about the existence of a motorcycle called the Honda CB750.  I never liked the machismo of a Harley nor the slicked back look of most new sportbikes.  The CB750 was a nice medium and after I realized that I soon bought one.  I'd never driven a motorcycle prior to two months ago nor had I worked on one.  With that in mind i began a complete (minus motor) restoration on a CB750 purchased for $600 from a friend.  I had to learn how the dang thing worked, how to paint with a gun... how to do a lot of things.  But alas two months later.. a lot of browsing this forum and a lot of pouring over manuals a pretty shiny superbly functioning CB750 emerged from my garage.  I figured I'd post the few pics from when I was patient enough to stop working and take one on here for those who may be interested.  Unfortunately I did not have the patience to take any pre-disassembly photos which I should have.  Regardless, it was a rusty moldy sad looking CB when I got it.  Here is how it turned out...
