I got a few PMS about how my tire was doing so I though I would do a update, mainly to tell about the new things I found wrong... and ask for suggestions & not to reopen another can of worms. Which wasn't what I intended in the first place

My chains have been getting less mileage then my tire.... I've gotten 6,557 miles out of my rear Avon road rider and could get another 1000 or two IF they are still safe.

My chains have been getting 4000  to 5000 miles out of them.. 2 different  chains  actually 3 different ones different brands also. First one was a RK non o-ring 2ND was a EK x-ring top of the line chain that was to wide and rubbed against the case, Only had that one for a few miles. Then a Diamond non o-ring chain recommend by Hondaman.

I took off my chain to see that the hell was wrong and noticed the sprocket and wheel & tire wobbling. (mainly just the sprocket) Also noticed some spokes where lose.. :o  so I took just the wheel into a dealer and told them the sprocket wobbles and he said probably the cosh? Kosh? Drives (I always just called them dampeners)  inside the wheel might need replacing. So we took them apart they seemed OK maybe one was worn & he said it would just be best to bring the whole bike in.

When I got home and put the wheel back on & I noticed the sprocket was straight again. WTF? /Must of been messing with those dampeners that caused this?

I also figured while their in there tightening the spokes and truing it, that they might as well just replace the spokes. They look like crap anyways.

So basically do you think that replacing my Kusch drives and relacing and trueing my rear wheel will solve my chain wear and sprocket wobble problem?

The front Sprocket wobbles a little bit back in forth and side to side but not much its suppose to right? because its suppose to "float"?

As for the tire (the soaked one) Was going to do a quick short burn out that night but it was to late plus, I would probably not know how to do one if it came down to it  ;D
It's the 750 not the 350 where talking about BTW.

So I did a short ride less then 1 mile around neighborhood at slow speeds when I came back the sticky and gummieness was complete gone. As for the cupping or bulge there is a tiny one  (only way I can find it is that I marked the side wall) you pretty much have to study it for 15 Min's to find it. The bike hasn't been ridden sense all this has been found (lose spokes, tire, wobbly sprocket etc) I've been riding the 350. if the gas didn't soak in the tread it wouldn't be there but this tire was soaked for probably 10 hours so its more of a problem then say just an hour.

While I have the wheel & tire in at the dealer I'll have them look at the tire, there be able to look at it from the inside too since they will be relacing or tighten spokes.

Since I got so much mileage out of this tire and there's little left and since I'm having basically the whole rear redone I'll probably just end up replacing it.

I'm defiantly want to hear all your comments and suggestions on all this but lets not kill each other and start a war and  get this tread locked down again okay?  :)

I'm curious if the rear hub is similar to a 550. The only way I can see pulling it down & reassembling could make difference to the sprocket movement is if maybe the retaining nut wasn't secure to begin with. (?) It's a good thing that the spoke issue is being addressed also.
As far as the tyre is concerned, I imagine it's still debatable as to if damage would be detectable from inside or outside of the case of the tyre, when it's the actual composition of the rubber that I'd be concerned about.
Good luck with your decision. If it's all apart at the moment, bite the bullet & throw a newbie on while it's down, it'll save you having to remove it again shortly.
That's my opinion anyway fwiw.  ;)

When the rear axel is tightened down the sprocket hub is "Pinned" between bearings. The "Cush" rubbers merely cushion the driveline shock fore and aft (acceleration/deceleration). Side to side wobble of the rear sprocket is likely a failing bearing or else the inner bearing spacer is missing. The spacer I refer to is inside the hub, trapped between two bearings. If you look through the center of the wheel hub, with both the sprocket carrier and the brake housing removed, the remaining rear bearings should appear to have a continous tube between the two, about the same diameter as the inner race. If there is a large cavity within the wheel hub between these two bearings then the spacer I described may be missing. One of the bearings would need to be removed to install the spacer if it were missing.

You could also be missing one of the other spacers within the assembly that would prevent the axle from tightening down completely, but this would likely cause some other issues. Check all the diagrams/pictures you can find of the rear wheel assembly to try and verify that all the parts are there.
