Wheres Bucky Katt?
« on: July 01, 2010, 10:52:28 PM »
I know his wife was having problems. Seems odd that he has split. I have been praying for them and am still. It took me awhile to post this. Hes a good character.  Where are you! ???

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

I got an email from him a few days ago, he's just got too much going on presently and is trying to keep things going. He IS a Good character all right. He should be back, but I just don't know when (at this point). We just need to keep Virginia and Jeff in our Prayers. ;)

The last I heard, he tripped over the dog and broke his arm too. He's really got a lot going on right now. Give him some time and send him some PMs so they show up on his email or go to his facebook. He's more likely to see your messages there.  :)

He's updating his facebook page on a regular basis, so he's on the computer.  It also seems he's avoiding an issue here with someone he accepted money from for merchandise he never sent.  But then there are always at least two sides to every story.

Last I heard was, he was having some serious problems and was trying to get through them. I only know Jeff from the forums, but I have faith that, as soon as he can, he WILL make things right. :)

Its simple... he could just log into paypal account.... hit the send payment button.... refund complete. No problem.

Im used to getting stiffed and jerked by eBay guys, as I would estimate my success ratio on CB750 parts bought through eBay at about 20%. Now the buyer is past the 90 days to file a complaint, a typical scenario of a well educated paypal suckermaker is to drag out the promises to 90 days and disappear. Bummer.

That will not happen if you use an Amex card via Paypal AMEX has a longer window than Paypal, and they will charge back Paypal in a heartbeat. PayPal has to go chase the guy on their own.

How long a window? I thought theirs (AmEx) was only 90 days for disputes or problems.

You know, some folks need to stop and think about what all Jeff has gone through over the past 2 years or so. HIS life has NOT been a bed of Roses (more like a bed of THORNS). I KNOW that most of us have only met each other online and have no clue what we actually look like OR what we are really like, BUT, I am sure that WHEN he can, Jeff will make right on these things. There is NO WAY of knowing for sure what YOU'D do in HIS position, unless YOU'VE actually BEEN THERE. So, I HOPE that folks will stop and think about how YOU'D feel IF it were YOU who suddenly found your life turned upside down, much less have people turning on you because, for what ever reason, you didn't jump  in as soon as OTHERS thought you should and tell all. Think about the history of medical problems that he and his Wife have gone through.

That's great and all, and I'd probably be giving hime more of a benefit of the doubt if he weren't constantly updating his Facebook page.  If he can log onto Facebook and type, he can log on here or email his customer to let him know what's going on.

That's not even my 2 cents, that's just a fact.

+1 on what Gordon said. If it was your money Bill would you be so calm? I think not......

If he has taken someones money and not provided the goods and is ignoring the issue then this is not right. If he has time to update a stupid FB page and does not reply to the original posters emails, this is not right. By all accounts it looks like he has given the shaft to a fellow forum member and this is definitely NOT right.

Why defend a guy that burned a fellow forum member? No matter the situation, $65 is not going to break a guy. Refund the money!

I dont mean to pile on, but.... I ordered something from jeff months back. After I paid he had a rash of problems in his life. It seemed like it was one thing, then another, then another. He did finally send me the part that I had paid for but it took around a month ( I believe) to get it . As was said before, if he has time to get on facebook, he has time to come here and take care of this issue. 65 dollars or 5 dollars, if it is not yours, its not yours. I am sure he is having problems and for that I am sorry, but does not relieve his responsiblity to baby food to return his money.

It is 90 days, but AMEX does no dick you around like PayPal. You dispute the charge comes off your account immediately and they charge back to Paypal. I met one of there investigation people. They said PayPal sends the same T&C crap they send you. AMEX says thanks but you are charged back. I got burned by a seller after the PayPal window. When I beefed PayPal told me AMEX sets the rules. I only use AMEX on ebay. If Bucky Kat yanked me around after 30 days the money is back in my pocket on day 31.

Sucks to hear about this. I feel for Jeff, with all the problems that he has, but it sure doesnt justify this. Especially since he is updating his FB page often. I hope he does make this right. I had a similiar issue a while back, I had shipped Terry in Australia a seat which never arrived. He had to reverse the payment through Paypal. That was bad enough, but to never have shipped the part, man thats not cool. Its unfortunate, I thought Bucky Katt was a good guy...

I understand the feelings that are posted here and NO, it's not right to wrong a Member here, that's a fact (so don't get the idea that I approve of that kind of thing). I don't do Face Book and know nothing about it. I HAVE signed up for it, to check out some photos, but that's it. I have no idea why he's doing that. I know that he HAS had some pretty tough stuff happen to him and his wife. BTW, If it was MY $65, I'd do my best to find out what happened, but I want to think I'd try to allow for problems. I'm not saying any more, except that I DO hope the issue is settled AND that EVERYONE gets past their Problems.
