Noob question: What kind of oil does 72 CB350 Four take?
« on: July 02, 2010, 03:20:54 pm »
Hi.

I know this question has probably come up a million times before, but I couldn't find an answer! Honest! I even searched here, and couldn't seem to find a direct answer. So, what kind of oil (10w 40?) does a 1972 CB350 Four take?
Thanks! :)

Here's the answer directly from the CB350F Users Manual.  Just changed my oil in May with 10W-40 and no problems thus far.  Hope this helps...

Motor oil.

That's the only consensus you're going to get on pretty much any motorcycle forum.

The fact that you searched and probably found dozens and dozens of threads on oil with no direct answer would have been your first clue. :)

Yahh..I like valvoline 10 40 for air cooled motorcycle..I buy it at advance auto.
NO more running to the dealer for premium honey. This costs just as much though.

Anything with an "SJ" service rating and whatever weight the manual recommends.

+1    ;)   Valvoline 10w40 for air cooled motorcycle...formulated for wet clutches, and at $4.30 a qt, a bit pricey, but....
