Best option is probably a set of used coils either from this forum, ebay, or the local scrap yard.  If you're looking for inexpensive new coils then check Z1 Enterprises or Cycle-re-cycle.

Make sure you get 5ohm coils.

thanks I'll check it out. I had read where you can use pretty much ANY dual fire coil at 5 Ohms, but wasnt sure if that was true.

You pretty much can.  Cut back the ends of the wires until you see clean wire (shouldn't be more than 1/4" to 1/2"), and you'll get a good running coil.

Also, check out the FAQ on how to rebuild those coils.  I recently redid mine, and it made an enormous difference.  I'm not planning to get new coils anymore.  There just isn't a need now.

I wish I could just rebuild the existing coils but they were stripped off before I got the bike. I'm trying to get this bastard running for cheap and then tear down and rebuild this winter but it's one issue after another so who knows if it will ever get done. If anyone's interested I have started posting updates in the projects forum under "Project LINT". Any more advice would be great. Thanks folks.

There are a few cars with dual fire coils but none at 5 ohms I know of, usually 1 or 0.5 ohm for electronic ignitions.
Single fire plugs (one spark plug wire) are not usable.
Coil sets show up often on ebay.
A bike wrecker should have them, there were a TON of Honda SOHC4 bikes of assorted models and they all used the same coils.
Dyna coils are a few $$$ but quite good and have cable clip terminals making replacing the HV wires rather easy. You should also get the Dyna wire kit to avoid having to shop around for wire and the correct coil connectors and usable plug caps, although adding some NGK angled caps to the Dyna wire sets makes for a better looking setup IMO.

I already pretty much covered all your options for finding cheap, used coils for your bike.  If you look on ebay you can probably find dozens of cheap, viable coils for your bike.  Dual-fire, 5ohm, 12 Volt.  Just look for any coils that came off a sohc4 Honda.  There are some slight differences between coils for different sohc4's but nothing you need to worry about for a temporary fix.  Worst case scenario is that you'll have to zip-tie them to the frame rather than using the stock mounts if they don't fit, but it still works.
