Feature bike -TV show
« on: December 11, 2010, 11:19:56 AM »
I am looking for a 1969 Honda CB 750, (extremely show worthy) in the Austin Texas or somewhat near there that can be used by a film production co. to pilot a TV show in the spring of 2011. The bike will be featured in the Texas hill country.  Bike must run, and owner has no problem being filmed in motion. liljimmy58@hotmail.com, IF you dont put "Honda CB" in subject line, all emails will be deleted.

First of all , its a pilot, we are all using cameras , film, writing , and effort, for free, at this point, between now and spring 2011, things may change( possible sponsorship), but initially, it will have to be free, or maybe trade for a copy of the pilot. Production students from the University of Texas (Austin) will be involved. and who knows.

Make sure it's not a gay porn movie before you commit to anything.

Yeah that's what I had in mind. That's what I do to mine when it's starts to get finicky starting. They need to understand who's boss.

Looking back on it now, back at the time (early 70's) just about everyone who bought one was an amateur actor in one sense or another, so are a lot of the current owners.  You know all those old Harley-farts who dress up and strut around like they were full of piss and vinegar and still getting laid or something, when everyone on earth knows they are all accountants just posing as something they aren't.  Well, it ain't just Harley riders out there doin' that.

Why does it have to be a '69? Unless you're doing a film specifically about '69 cb750's? ??? ???

I could post another smart-ass comment here but I won't.

It seems to me that these fine folks are for some reason looking for a 1969 Honda for their film so they did their research and turned to us. It may be an integral part of the story and a cool opportunity for someone to ride their bike in a film.

We have chosen to ridicule their request and make mockery of their attempt to work with a member of our community. They are probably rewriting the script right now and searching the internet for a volunteer to ride his 1969 Triumph.

I wish those 69'ing, gay porn makin' bastards the best of luck.

The plan is ...............start with a introduction bike, then to possibly a first year Kaw H1, then maybe a '68 Z50, then , and then , and then, '73 ZI , 71 H2 , " giant Killer RD 350, again , this is an TV show that could go weekly,,, and i and some college kids can have a great time, get maybe some sponsors, , maybe  , now this will be my last reply, I need a sand cast 750 4 , to film the owner ride his own bike in the hill country of texas for a day , and discuss the impact this bike made. enough with the joke.

No offense meant and I hope you find what you need and have huge success with your project.
I'm no 750 expert but I think the 69s are fairly rare but someone may come forward who can help you out.
