Cylinder base orings
« on: July 05, 2010, 02:32:50 PM »
In fitting my piston & rings into my cylinder on my 76 CB750 engine I did not notice the cylinder base orings if they went into place. Should I loose sleep over it? or pull the cylinder(head is not on yet)

yup, you could have a leaky mess without them in place. Good on you for catching it before the head went on.

It bothered me too much so this morning I pulled the jug and reseated the orings and reinstalled the cylinder(rings were MUCH easier this time to get onto the cylinders)
