So after a long hiatus I am finally back in the groove working on my project. I'm on the home stretch...and hopefully after this final push...it WILL be done.

So i finished fabbing all the light holes and what not to my headlight bucket. I put in all the lights, switches, speedo, and headlight to make sure everything fit...and its looks pretty badass. Now its in the box of #$%* to get body work and paint...

I used bicycle pegs for mine. They don't fold up anymore because of how I mounted them but they look pretty slick. I just removed the stock ones and rigged up a bolt that was held in place by the stock retainer pin. Got any pics of the hardware you fabbed...before you mounted them up...just to see exactly what you mean?

The oil line supplies came from a little mom & pop hardware store in Burbank, CA. $9/ft for braided oil line...and the fitting were cheap too. I had to strip the blue/red anodizing...but whatever.

This little store is pretty amazing. Its a "find anything you need" spot for the mad scientist.

Guessing here, Berg hardware?

I liked the oil tank that you made.
I am building my own oil system and need to know which hose, from the engine, is oil going TO the tank, and which is oil going BACK to the engine.

Would you help me? Thanks

The indicator lighst for the headlight bucket came from ebay...

I can't even explain how F*&$#ing livid I am right now. I was installing my new shocks on the back of my bike and I see this...WTF?!?!?!?!

I have NO IDEA how it happened, when it happened, or whose ass to kick because it happened.

I called coker and they say it isn't a factory defect. For a second I thought it might be a tear or split. After time of being under pressure of inflation, it split or something. But they say not the case.

Whatever...I have no idea. racking my brain trying to come up with anything that might be what happened... "did I get the angle grinder anywhere near my bike??" HAHA...Im not crazy!! "Did I get my soldering iron any where near it??" Well...I was soldering connections on my wiring harness the other day..but I'd have seen something like THIS go down!!

Anyway...I'm just venting...so pissed off...

Dude that sucks. That looks like a defect to me. Your iron would have residue on it if it did that.

So here are some of the final bits....

Velocity Stack screens...and almost had to sell a kidney for these...who knew!!??

New shocks...had to go with longer than stock due to the lengthened swing arm...

AND new cables...Motion Pro braided SS...purrrrty!! Installed them all and its a sweet look...

Painted the oil tank to match the engine block and swing arm...

Scored a very nice headlight screen...

Finished the 4 into 2 exhaust headers with rolled end pencil tips...stuffed with a baffle and glass packing...

The gas tank and headlight bucket are going to the body shop for paint tomorrow.

Getting so close I can taste it...

Looks fantastic! I plan to steal all your ideas...

I don't know if you found knee pads yet, but Tech Spec sells uncut sheets for about $45 that you can cut to whatever you need. I have a precut set on my Speed Triple and they are pretty high quality, if not exactly cheap.

Bryce, i really like that you have managed to do something completely original without just dumping BCR stuff all over it then trying to sell it for 15 grand...

One question though, with the smaller tank, is it a bit cramped to ride or is it all ok.?

I appreciate all compliments, of course. But you're one of the guys around here that's seen it all...so thank you!

As far as the ride-ability goes...I haven't had it on the street yet... Looking forward to that day...and its very close!!

Its a 12V switch. The current that goes thru it is not that great. The starter button isn't feeding power directly to the starter. The starter solenoid does that. So the solenoid IS the relay. The starter button merely feeds power to the solenoid's electromagnet. The electromagnet acts as a "button" inside the solenoid thereby activating the solenoid and completing the circuit between the battery and the starter.

The big juice is going thru the 10 gauge wires going from the solenoid to the starter. And the solenoid is drawing its power directly from the battery / charging system...NOT the starter button.

Besides I tested it...and cranked the motor already. Works like a charm...

So I am going with non-honda emblems on the tank, I think. I mean...its got Harley, Ducati, CEV and one-off parts. Not to mention all the aftermarket cafe parts...so branding it "honda" isn't at all accurate. but then again, its a honda frame and motor...is that all that really counts?

So any suggestions on tank emblems??

My brother came up with this one...cuz to him...well, it looks like a bull.

I was looking at that tire damage thinking it could be damage from mounting of the tire. Either a tire iron,screwdriver or installation machine.

Also I am wondering about that rear part of your frame where you had the steel plates welded on, that it might get in the way when the rear wheel travels up and down. You know, the tire could hit the sheet metal?

yeah...that's why I lengthened the rear shocks...to add room for suspension travel. In addition, I am going to add room another way if it bottoms out regularly. I already have the idea on how add another 1". ...I am just going to do it as a last resort...

Did you test the length of the stroke for those new shocks? that tire looks REALLY close to the tail loop you welded in....
Would suck to put all that work and love in to find that every time you hit a bump your rear tire rubs
